The board of this Michelin version of jeu de l’oie is offered to readers of the “encyclopedic review” dated May 1, 1894. A cult object today, since it is the very first advertising object of the brand. This game is a great tribute to the history of MICHELIN, whose success began… thanks to a bicycle!

It all started in 1891, when a cyclist knocked on the door of the MICHELIN factory to have a tire on his bike repaired.
The small Clermont-Ferrand factory was already renowned for the quality of its rubber products. As the tire was then stuck to the wheel, the repair was long and complicated, but this mishap allowed Edouard Michelin to discover the comfort of the tire. He quickly understood the potential of this invention and sought to simplify the repair of punctures as much as possible. This is what led him to file a patent for a removable tire that paved the way for success. Discover the “Cycling game” or “Michelin race” through this collector’s edition.
