Michelin historical poster 1905

14,90

Reproduction of the Italian poster “the Michelin tire has conquered the rail”.

The age of the wonderful driving madmen. To help the tyre supplant the rail, then at its peak, Michelin commissioned Montaut to produce a poster announcing the (theoretical) victory of the automobile over the railway. An advertising argument based not on the reality of a race, but putting “boldly” in parallel of the kilometers made on circuits by cars and train schedules.
