Artoy Bibendum Chevalier – Michelin Collectors

19,00

Beautiful evocation of an O’Galop poster broadcast in 1907. It was intended for the British market with a Bibendum in armor and a nod to the British poet Alfred Lord Tennyson in the poem entitled Sir Galahad: “My Strength is as the strength of ten, because my heart is pure.” Skillfully, O’Galop replaces heart with rubber, which gives us in French: “My Strength is as the strength of ten, because my rubber is pure”. The coat of arms of this knight shows André Michelin’s spectacles, an indestructible air chamber, a bowl full of shards of bottles and nails, and three of Bibendum’s famous cigars.
