Screen Prints – XAS Radial

The XAS, which went on the market in 1965, was the first Michelinl tyre designed to travel at speeds of up to 210 km/h. Its outstanding performances made it a natural choice for sports driving and such events as the Formule France, track races, rallies, hill climbing, etc. The XAS was fitted on the “sports cars” of the period 1965-1975.
This poster for the XAS was designed in the Michelin Graphic Studio for an international advertising campaign. Its resolutely “Pop Art” inspiration derives its form from the “Ben-Day” screen printing technique, which makes it possible to obtain a colour without shading.
